Brava predicts the first offloading from Atlanta this weekend.

Ana Luisa Egues – 19/02/2025

The company has signed a contract for the sale of a total volume of 6 million barrels of oil with Trafigura, a multinational commodities company headquartered in Singapore.

The first offloading of the FPSO Atlanta is scheduled to take place on Sunday (23rd). The operation will be carried out with Trafigura, a multinational commodities company headquartered in Singapore, which has signed a contract with Brava Energia for the sale of a total volume of 6 million barrels of oil produced in the Atlanta field, in the Santos Basin, as announced by the company last Thursday (13th).

The contract includes flexible terms that allow for profit-sharing through cargo combinations, access to specific markets for Atlanta’s oil type, and a competitive financing facility. The contract pricing is linked to international low-sulphur bunker fuel reference prices.

The Atlanta field is operated by Brava Energia with an 80% stake, in partnership with Westlawn Energia (20%). The sale of the 20% stake to Westlawn was completed at the end of September 2024. Since 31st December, production from Atlanta has been extracted by the FPSO Atlanta, which is part of the field’s Definitive System (DS).

The FPSO Atlanta has a processing capacity of up to 50,000 bpd and storage capacity for 1.6 million barrels of oil. Currently, the field is producing approximately 26,000 bpd of oil from two wells. The initial phase of the project includes six wells, but this number is expected to increase as Brava holds a license to drill up to 12 wells in the field.
